#1 in our Summer of Small Techinques.
Embroidery on Your Knits. This class will teach you several techniques for adding embroidered details to your knits. Taking a plain item to something unique and fun.
Have you ever thought about adding a couple of flowers to the hem of a sweater or perhaps a lady bug on your collar.
We will be using 3 different methods to try this out, peel and stick embroidery, the design is printed for you we just peel and stick to the knit fabric and embroider over the top, once finished we soak in water to remove the paper. This is fun and easy to use. The other method is free hand embroidery in which we can create small bugs and flowers or geometric shapes. Method 3 is duplicate stitch, following a chart used for cross stitch we can add beautiful designs anywhere on our knits by using the existing stitches and going over them with a new color. Each of these techniques is fun and easy to learn.
All materials other than swatches are provided. Bring your normal tool kit, don't forget your glasses!
