Our Summer Sweater Knit Along is here!!

Spring is a great time to make a new summer piece for your wardrobe. This event will have you finishing a tee just in time for the warmer weather and giving you lots of wear.

This pretty tee by Natsja Hornby is size inclusive and simple enough to wear with everything, whilst giving us enough of a challenge to keep us having knitting fun throughout.

There are many options for adjustments in this pattern, length, sleeve length and bust shaping etc.

This project is aimed at INTERMEDIATE knitters.

You should be confident knitting in the round, increasing and decreasing, short rows, picking up stitches, lace ( charts), this can be written out in spreadsheet format easily

The knit along is spread out over 6 sessions to give you plenty of time in between each session to complete the knitting. You will see that some sessions are each week as they have only a small amount of knitting to get done before we move to next section of the pattern, but other shave several weeks in between with obviously move to achieve before the next get together.  But you should have no problem finishing so that you can enjoy your garment for the start of summer

April 22nd,29th

May 6th,13th

June 3rd, 10th   June 17th Finish garment show off and photos.

We will have an optional 7th session.  This is your chance to show off your finished garments, we will also have a photographer who will take some lovely pictures of them all, a chance to show them off and pair with the perfect outfit. Garment should be finished for this event.

There is required homework to be done in advance

Please ensure that before the first session you have done your gauge swatches. You may need to make several to ensure the correct gauge.

You will need to follow the pattern instructions for gauge, and it is done in pattern to ensure we are on track.  Each gauge swatch should be approx. 6 inches square and the measurement for stitches and rows can then be taken in the middle.        If you are unsure about gauge and how to do it, we have a class to help. We recommend taking this to ensure success as we will not be gauge swatching as part of the knit along.  You can sign up for this at the link below
